Volunteer and Participation Foundation
FVP is an independent think-tank which provides rigorous original and accessible analysis of the current characters, trends and context of action of voluntary and social participation in Italy, offering critical perspectives and guidelines for more aware actions. The Volunteer and Participation Foundation was established in 2008, with an original idea of Maria Eletta Martini, by several organizations including: the National Centre for Volunteer, Csv.net, Ce.S.Vo.T., Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, Lucca Province. The Volunteer and Participation Foundation promotes, designs and conducts research at the local, regional, national and European levels for civil society organizations and institutions.
LaRISS (Laboratory for Research on Inclusion and Social Development)
The Laboratory is part of the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Pisa. It aims at the development of the research and to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of the applied social sciences with regard to socio-economic development, inclusion and exclusion. The main topics relate to the ways in which social and development policies, public and nonprofit systems and the market contribute to the promotion of the well-being of citizens, groups, local and translocal communities and societies.
Department of Political Science (University of Pisa)
The Department of Political and Social Sciences has promoted basic research and applied research, both nationally and internationally in various areas of the social sciences (economics, law, political science, sociology and history). In the field of labor market policies and social systems of non-profit, citizenship and participation, gender differences, power relations, as well as in research methodology, many workgroups and laboratories coordinated by sociologists of the department are active at different levels and with many projects in the research and education
Teval is a cooperative research center builded by the Universities of Catania, Genova, Roma “la Sapienza” and Pisa in order to develop knowledge and expertise about the theories, the methodologies and the techniques of public policies evaluation.
